Rasmus Sandin #38 (19-years-old)

“The Sand Man” is currently in his first season with the Maple Leafs after being drafted in the first round of the 2018 entry draft. He has recently been called up from the Toronto Marlies after the Leafs suffered two key injuries on defence. Sandin played for the Soo Sault Marie Greyhounds of the OHL while GM Kyle Dubas was working for them, so Dubas made sure to track his development over the years and draft him when he had the chance. The young swede has a very bright future ahead of him, and already has 4 points in 7 games with the Maple Leafs.

Fun Fact:

Sandin won a bronze medal with Team Sweden at the World Junior Hockey Championships this year and was named the best defenceman of the tournament.
