Oshae Brisset, born on June 20th, 1998, is a player for the Toronto Raptors, but in addition to the NBA, the player also splits his time between the Raptors 905 and the NBA G League. Born in Etobicoke, Brisset moved to Mississauga at the age of four, always deeming it home, and attended the Athlete Institute in Mono, Ontario, after which he chose Syracuse for his college career. During his time in Syracuse, the Mississauga native flourished, averaging 13.7 points per game and 8.2 rebounds. However, the player left in his second year of college, going undrafted by the NBA. He then played for the LA Clippers as part of his Summer League, in which he averaged 6.6 points and 4.0 rebounds over the span of 5 games. However, he later signed a two-way contract with the Raptors, in which he also plays for the Raptors 905 and the NBA G League. On January 7th, the Raptors face the Portland Trailblazers, suffering a loss of 101-99. However Brissett shone in that game as he was placed in the starting lineup, getting to play a total of 23 minutes, in which he scored in the doubles, with 12 points and six rebounds. Brisset has a long way to go, but the Canadian born player shows promise and a determined work ethic that will allow him to proudly represent his country in the NBA.
